The artist

Portrait

Portrait — 4:5 vertical, close, natural light, no retouching

She has been here. She is not finished.

Trina Meade came up in the rooms where Atlanta's music actually happens — church basements and blues bars, DIY rock clubs and late-night studio sessions where soul, rock and roots music never bothered with the borders the industry drew.

She has fronted bands, held down harmonies behind other people's names, and built a reputation as a performer who tells the truth at volume. Trina Meade & Co. is the moment all of that becomes hers.

“The history isn't the story. It's the reason you can trust the story.”
